About Me

Welcome! I hope you found this blog intentionally or by happy accident. I’m a new author just trying to build a following, share my love for writing, and pass on any tips that I have to other aspiring writers. Do you like writing prompts? Writing Tips? Fantasy and Fiction books? Then this is the place for you!

I first discovered my love for writing when I was 12 years old. I was in the 6th grade when my class was instructed to write a poem about any topic. My peers wrote about school, family, etc. – generic things. I decided to letmy creativity run wild and wrote about a man waiting on Death Row. I titled the poem Home is Here.

When all of the student’s work was submitted to the website, my school paid for the students to be published in a school-aged book. However, they never added mine. True claim was that my subject matter was too mature for young children… I went home that afternoon, rightfully upset, but noticed that I had an email from the website wanting to publish my poem in their adult book. I obviously accepted and purchased a copy for myself!

Since then, I spent a lot of my free time attempting screenplays, short stories, and novels. Fiction, specifically fantasy and post-apocalyptic topics, are my obsessions. It has always been my dream to publish a novel, whether it is successful or not. But, in all honesty, I was never confident in my work or myself until my most recent project – The Wanderer Trilogy. I feel like it is a unique story with a great plot and dynamic characters – something I never had before. And yes, I still keep my old writings to laugh at and learn from.

And now, I finally feel like an author. With my first book to be released in the Summer of 2018, I have a light at the end of the tunnel of self-doubt and feelings of inadequacy. My goal for this blog is not only to promote my novels (duh), but also to help those who are aspiring writers who struggle with Writer’s Block, procrastination, feelings of failure, or lack of inspiration. Plus, there will be many Writing Prompts to get the brain juices flowing! I hope to keep things interesting, but I need your help (yes you)! Let me know if there is a topic that you would like to know more about. Always remember that writing may be a lonely job, but it doesn’t have to be every minute of every day!
