Update on Book 2

Greetings All!

I wanted to keep all of my loyal followers updated on my current project: The Wanderer Trilogy – Book 2 – Preservation. Roughly 19 Chapters – over 85K words – Super excited! I just finished the First Draft today!

I usually do a handful of edits (grammar, plot, flow, etc.) before I hand it off to a few family members to edit. Once that is done, I will make the necessary edits and hopefully have it out to a few Beta Readers. I may make a competition out of it for one of my readers to be granted early access!

My hope is to have Preservation finalized and published by December this year. By then, I should hopefully be started on Book 3, to be completed by December 2020.

As far as future projects, I am working on the bare bones for a number of short stories that I plan on compiling into a psychological thriller of sorts. I’m not entirely sure how quickly after The Wanderer Trilogy I want to work on it – but we shall see! Who knows? I may bounce between this book and a Fantasy series I’m working on too.

So please, stay tuned for the release of Book 2! I will keep everyone updated! ūüôā

Happy New Year!

I just wanted to post a quick update to everyone who has been so supportive and eagerly awaiting Book 2 of The Wanderer Trilogy: Preservation.

I just got done with the Rough Draft of Chapter 15 and have about 3-4 more chapters worth of material left. One of my New Year’s Resolutions require me to organize my time better, so that I make more time for writing. My goal is to have Preservation published by December of this year. Hopefully, I can make that happen!

From the reviews I have already received for Purpose, I can only promise you that many of your questions will be addressed by Book 3: Prowess. I’m very adamant on simply setting the foundation of the story in Books 1 & 2 so that the plot twists that I have planned for Book 3 make sense. I promise that it won’t be what you are expecting so stay tuned ūüôā

However, there is one thing that I want to clear up in regards to the Dedication in my novel. It reads:

To¬†all¬†those¬†who¬†said¬†I¬†was¬†“too¬†wordy”¬†and¬†“long¬†winded”.¬†Especially¬†to¬†everyone¬†who¬†did¬†not¬†believe¬†I¬†could¬†do¬†it.¬†How¬†it¬†must¬†feel¬†to¬†be¬†so¬†wrong.

First of all, those who know me understand that I am extremely sarcastic. I love to joke around and laugh. Growing up, I always told stories with great detail, which I believe is why I enjoy writing so much. Anyway… my father and sister in particular, would make fun of me for being so detailed. They would make comments like “Just get to the point already” and the like. I would always struggle with writing papers that had a ‘word maximum’ because I would write well over the maximum and have to painfully shave off words.

I digress… To the second part of the Dedication. For years, people who I’ve known – even some in my own family – have told me that I would never be able to write a novel. Teachers in high school would tell me that I did not write well enough. In grade and high school alone, I only had two teachers who saw the fire in me. In fact, these two individuals gave me the tools and confidence to become a better writer.

But the constant degrading combined with my diagnosed depression in my teenage years really ate away at any motivation I had to create worlds with my words. I feel that it is my right to express a slight annoyance-like attitude with a smart-a** comment like the final sentence.

I’m curious to hear your thoughts! I hope everyone is waiting with bated breath for Preservation! Enjoy your 2019 and I will be posting again soon.

A Glimpse of What’s to Come

After¬†The Wanderer Trilogy, I plan on writing a compilation of short stories. I will be working on it from time to time, but I plan on being meticulous in how I write these stories. Here is just a taste of the very beginning. Do you plan on reading this? ūüôā

A WARNING

Contained in the bending of this book are the extensive and detailed notes of Edward L. Sutton, Independent Journalist and Author. Obsession – the reality of ‚Äėmythical‚Äô beings, particularly ones he dubbed Omens of Change. Current state of Mr. Sutton – deceased. I am just an interviewee.

When he finally spoke to me, I warned him not to publish this. The Others. They told me that they would kill him if he did anything more than speak to the Chosen. And they did just that. To be clear, I wish to remain anonymous for fear of what the world will think after they read this. That is, if they choose to believe it.

You see, the world is crumbling. Humanity is weak and afraid. They commit unspeakable crimes against one another. Hate speech, assault, rape, and murder run rampant. And yet, we live in our subdivisions and follow our own monotonous routine, caring little of the suffering of others. Still, we occasionally find ourselves pulled from the mundane and out of our comfort zone. Usually, it is within the unconscious mind. We remember these experiences. And you may believe these are nothing more than a coincidence. I am here to tell you that the concept of chance is more of a myth than these creatures.

My warning is this, dear reader, be vigilant. Once you dive into the contents of this book, there is no turning back. You will know more about the universe than you may want to. And sometimes, the truth is terrifying. I guarantee you that these stories are nothing short of that. Many of you will not be able to stomach what you find within these pages. Clarity is a risk. But it is what you do with this information that will determine your fate. The Others, they will be watching. And if you displease them, they will come for you.

Pray to whatever deity that they NEVER come for you.

Although, you could have already met these creatures before. Perhaps you were already deemed one of the Chosen, but do not yet understand what that means. That, my brothers and sisters, is why I am allowing this book out into the public. To finish Edward L. Sutton’s work. His single goal was to unite all of those who have sensed the Omens. Nonetheless, he did make it relatively convenient for us to find one another through his writings. Tales that will outline different events that you may have witnessed. If so, follow the trail, allow the Other to contact to you however they wish, and find the rest of us.

They are waiting. So am I.
